Blogging Offline

I must admit that, up until now, the concept of offline blogging confused me a little.  I could see the point if you were in a place that just didn’t have a connection, but if you can connect, why not use the facility?

Well, I’ve just ‘Gone Mobile’ and realised that this presents two problems.

  1. The first is that my bandwidth is limited.  I’m paying for my data on a ‘Pay As You Go’ basis and this makes me much more aware of the cost.
  2. The second reason kind of relates to the first.  It’s all about distraction.  If I’m online, I do a lot of research that

As of this morning I have 22 Google Wave invites to give away.  All I need is an email address to add to my invite list.  These invites are offered on a “First come First Served” basis.

Comment Luv

I’ve added the Comment Luv plugin to this blog recently.  If you give a URL when commenting on a post, the plugin will try to pull a link to your latest post into you comment.  Please feel free to give it a go, but please don’t spam.  I will delete adverts, anything not suitable for…… Read the rest

Posting to Posterous

Posterize

A while ago I mentioned a plugin called Posterize that I was using to post to Posterous.  It automatically sends an email to Posterous with the title of your new post and a link back to your WordPress blog.  The thing is, Posterous is designed to spread your words for you.  When you post to Posterous, it will automatically repost to your favourite places on the web.  In my case, Twitter, Plurk and a few other places.

I researched the subject thoroughly and did everything I could to fix the problem.  I disabled most of the plugins and checked out that the few…… Read the rest

More Invites

It looks like Google are increasing uptake of Wave in much the same way they did with Gmail.  Since I’ve been giving out Wave invitations, they’ve replaced the ones I’ve used.  So, I now have 17 spare invites to split between Tintent.com and my Posterous site http://meJamie.com.

Nothing for Nothing

I only have one rule and that’s nothing for nothing!  Please give me a constructive comment,…… Read the rest
