Google have been pushing their Google Apps for Domains service recently. In the US they have used both TV and Billboards to advertise their product. As far as I’m aware though, all these adverts have been aimed at business.
Here at Tintent, we’ve been using a Google Apps account to provide all our family’s email needs. We’ve been doing this for a number of years and believe that many other families could benefit as well.
Just today we heard about another student arming themselves with another Hotmail account ready for starting Uni next week. Now, I don’t know about you but an email address that consists of half a surname and then random numbers letters and TWO underscores doesn’t strike me as being all that memorable!
Surely a first name followed by a distinctive domain name just makes life a little less confusing.
