I’ve been a subscriber of the Make Use Of blog for a while and their emails often contain little gems of information, but today I think they surpassed themselves. An article about the Wibiya toolbar caught my eye and the promise of quick invites cemented my interest! I followed the instructions in the blog and headed over to Wibiya to see how the thing worked.
My invite arrived in about 2 minutes flat. The email contained a link that filled in most of the application form for me and then an installation wizard sorted out the rest. Whether you read the article over at Make Use Of or not, you’ll be up and running in seconds. The only hassle I did have was that the system was reluctant to accept my FeedBurner feed URL. I’ve no idea whether it was Wibiya or FeedBurner that was at fault but for some reason it insisted on connecting me to a totally different blog (it did have a Wibiya Toolbar, but I don’t know if that’s significant!?!). The problem was easily fixed by using the standard WordPress version of the feed URL.
The MUO article doesn’t tell you that there is an easy to install WordPress plugin available. This just makes an easy job even easier!!
